New Clinical Trials and Research Publications
KA Imaging further strengthened its clinical impact with the release of new clinical trials and research publications in 2024. At the American Society of Emergency Radiology (ASER) conference, a study was presented highlighting the impact of KA Imaging’s technology on ICU workflows. The results demonstrated how the use of KA Imaging’s Reveal 35C can provide better image quality, same reading times or faster, increased confidence in diagnosis, reduced time to potential intervention, and potential to divert cases from CT imaging.

Additionally, KA Imaging’s work on cardiac health was published in the Canadian Association of Radiologists Journal (CARJ). The study focused on the detection of cardiac calcifications using KA Imaging’s dual-energy X-ray technology, offering new insights into the early identification and monitoring of cardiovascular disease.
Expanding Global Access to Healthcare
In collaboration with the Kenyan Kids Foundation Canada, KA Imaging played a vital role in enhancing healthcare access in rural Kenya. By installing the Reveal 35C detector along with an X-ray source, the company brought SpectralDR imaging to a region with limited medical infrastructure, creating a lasting impact on community health.
2025: 10 years of innovation with eyes on the future
Looking ahead to 2025, the company anticipates further global expansion in both medical and NDT markets.
In R&D, the company is actively working on Artificial Intelligence (AI) integration. “AI is a hot topic, but it’s only as good as the data it’s trained on,” said Karim S. Karim, CTO at KA Imaging. “With our three-layer SpectralDR detector, we provide significantly more data than anyone else—leading to better AI outcomes,” he said.
As KA Imaging marks its 10th anniversary, the founders reaffirm their commitment to innovation. “When we started 10 years ago, many industry experts told us that what we were trying to do was impossible. We are proud to have proven them wrong,” said Karnick. “Can’t wait to unveil our next projects,” he said.
