Company unveils new name and logo
People in the medical imaging components business should get used to hearing a new name: Varex Imaging Corporation — that's what the company formerly known as Varian Imaging Components will be known as once its spin-off is complete.
In May, Varian announced plans to
shed its imaging components business in order accelerate growth in its oncology business.
While Varian will continue to be a leader in radiation therapy and proton therapy, Varex Imaging Corporation will be known for manufacturing, X-ray tubes, high-energy X-ray sources, flat panel detectors, connectors, collimators and imaging processing systems.
