Mindray's TE7
point-of-care ultrasound
Mindray has set its sights on the point-of-care imaging segment with its TE7 Touch Enabled Ultrasound System.

Emergency care and critical care physicians may benefit from the tablet-like operation, superior image quality, and efficiency-enhancing exam presets that allow faster diagnosis of patients for whom time is of the essence.

With a two hour battery life and intuitive usability of commercial technology, the TE7 may represent further evidence that ultrasound is becoming a standard part of patient care.

"Clinicians who reviewed the TE7 were first impressed with the clean, intuitive operation. They were then pleasantly surprised by its superior image quality, fast responsiveness, and breadth of applications," said Wayne Quinn, president of Mindray North America, in a statement.

Mindray describes the TE7 as a uniquely smart, yet simple, shared services system. It has expanded capabilities for cardiac functionality, including continuous wave (CW) Doppler and a transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) transducer.

"Initial feedback from physicians has been overwhelmingly positive as even less trained users can scan technically difficult patients with confidence," said Quinn.

The system features three transducer connectors, three-second start-up to standby, and built-in wireless communications. It also has a height adjustable cart with a retractable cord.
