This is a used sampler previously in use sampling river water. It comes with ISCO ProPak sample containers which allows it to monitor a site hourly over the course of a day. The quantity and scheduling of the sample regime can be varied to a maximum of 1000ML. The ProPak receivers contain sealed high quality 3M plastic bags into which samples are stored. Please see the Teledyne ISCO site for more information specific to this particular sample collection option model. As I understand it there are two sample bag size options 1000 mL and 2 (US) gallon.
The sampler being sold here is apparently undamaged and complete except for the power source which uses a common 12V 5AH battery (or other larger external battery) and two pole connector. It has been powered up and has retained values from its last use. It has no physical damage other some very light scratching. The sale includes controller, top cover, centre section, base, distributor arm and used pump tubes. No separate software of interface is required for this process.
Replacement value of the basic sampler is about $6300. The ProPak sample set up is worth a little over $500 from the manufacturer. I will build a battery pack and charge for these units with a charger using commercial grade materials for $175 including military grade connectors and a weather sealed battery module. These batteries are not complex, but the plugs are not common and are expensive. The battery modules are relatively expensive when bought from the manufacturer ($600 to $750 USD) in part because all components are sealed against water.
