Sodexo has signed a new agreement to provide a range of integrated services across AtlantiCare, the largest healthcare system in southeastern New Jersey.

AtlantiCare, based in Egg Harbor Township, operates more than 110 care sites across five counties. The new partnership is part of a broader strategy to streamline service delivery while focusing on patient satisfaction.

The France-based company will oversee clinical nutrition, environmental services, facilities management, healthcare technology management, and food services across AtlantiCare’s operations. A centralized call center will also be implemented to handle meal ordering, environmental services, and facilities-related requests.

“Sodexo is proud to bring our industry-best food and facilities services to AtlantiCare and partner with their onsite team to achieve our shared vision of building healthy communities through individualized patient care,” said Molly Matthews, CEO of Sodexo Healthcare, U.S.

Dining enhancements include the introduction of Sodexo’s eat> retail concept and two Micromarkets, aimed at improving food options for patients, visitors and staff. Sodexo will also implement its Protecta infection prevention program and its Site Management System, an IT platform used to coordinate operations and optimize workflow.

Michael Charlton, president and CEO of AtlantiCare, said the collaboration supports the health system’s broader mission. “Our partnership with Sodexo helps us create an environment where comfort, dignity and healing are built into every part of the experience,” he said.

Sodexo’s healthcare division in North America supports hospitals and health systems in all 50 states, offering operational and patient-focused services designed to support quality and safety goals.
