Spectrum Dynamics Medical has appointed Tomer Gabay as its new chief executive officer, effective March 10. Gabay, who previously served as the company's chief financial officer for nine years, succeeds Gilad Yoeli.

Spectrum Dynamics is known for pioneering digital SPECT imaging systems, including the world's first digital cardiac SPECT system, the D-SPECT CARDIO, launched in 2007. The company also offers the VERITON-CT scanner, a 3D digital hybrid SPECT/CT scanner with a ring-shaped gantry and 360° CZT 12-detector design that automatically moves close to the patient’s body.

"Tomer has exhibited unparalleled dedication to the company," said Tang Ke, chairman of the board of directors. "His deep knowledge and understanding of the company and industry render him the right choice to lead the company in this next chapter."

Gabay steps into the role as Spectrum Dynamics marks its 25th anniversary. He noted that the company recently completed a successful round of fundraising and emphasized his commitment to advancing innovation in nuclear medicine and molecular imaging.

"I am thrilled to have the opportunity to lead the team into this next chapter of growth," Gabay said. "I am particularly eager to build upon Spectrum Dynamics Medical's history of innovation and the opportunities to continue to innovate in the nuclear medicine and molecular imaging space."

Based in Sarasota, Florida, Spectrum Dynamics Medical specializes in advanced diagnostic imaging technology. The company remains focused on expanding its capabilities under Gabay's leadership.
