RBS acquire RADMAX
Radiation Business Solutions (RBS) has acquired RADMAX, a radiation oncology medical billing company.

The deal boosts the number of physicians that RBS represents to more than 200 in its new, quality-driven radiation oncology network, VidaCore. The introduction of this new network enables the company to compete more with competitors like eviCore Healthcare.

“VidaCore, the antithesis to eviCore, will help define evidence-based, quality care with increased national credibility and negotiating power — benefiting patients and physicians," said Daniel Moore, chief executive officer of RBS, in a statement. "The RADMAX team has built a strong company based on integrity and excellent service and is a natural fit with our culture. Together, we will work with payors, hospital systems, and government agencies to provide true value-based care and ROAPM creation and implementation."

Radiation Business Solutions provide billing management, de novo center development, and joint venture opportunity to radiation oncologists in freestanding and hospital centers. It also owns and operates four freestanding radiation oncology centers through its development arm, RBS Evolution, and has partnered with Apollo Healthcare to enhance proton centers.

The addition of RADMAX enables it to serve nearly 208 physicians at over 89 cancer centers in 27 states. RADMAX employees will join RBS, including Kevin Ewalt, the CEO and president of RADMAX. As part of the agreement, he will now become RBS’ vice president of southwest operations.

"The RADMAX team has done an exceptional job of building long-term relationships with our clients over the years,” said Ewalt. “Joining forces with RBS will give our clients access to additional services and will allow them to benefit from the size and scope of the RBS network."
